Cesspool Pumping Services Cesspools operate as well as the soil they are installed into. Most cesspools only require solids removal every 5 years or so. Make sure you ask your cesspool builder for the solids to be pumped. 80% of cesspools will respond to a single pumping. You may opt to apply chemicals to address the buildup on the bottom and walls of your cesspool. What to know when you need service:
• Cesspool Port Access Location: You need to have your cesspool exposed for service. Generally, if you can find the perimeter of the concrete lid, the center is where to dig. • Inflow-to-Outflow Ratio: If you have more water going into the cesspool than flowing out of the cesspool, eventually you will back up. Address leaks and install low-flow fixtures to reduce inflow. Ground treatment is available for increasing outflow.

Septic Tank Cleaning & Service A septic tank has 3 main functions:
1) To remove and treat greases and solids in the wastewater. 2) To store greases and solids until they are removed (by a professional septic tank pumper). 3) To slowly release wastewater over an area of land so it can be absorbed by the soil.
To keep your septic system running well, our septic tank cleaning contractors are happy to offer helpful tips. These include what to do and what not to do:
|
|
• DO have your septic tank pumped by a private pumper every 3 years. • DO keep a record of all septic tank service and maintenance. • DO call your county building and safety department if your septic system fails within 5 years of installation. • DO find out where your septic tank and leachline are. • DO conserve water. • DON'T destroy an old failed leachline (it may be used again). • DON'T allow anyone to drive, park or pave over any part of the septic tank system. • DO keep your septic system free from grease, paper towels, plastics, coffee grounds, cigarette butts, disposable diapers, paints, thinners, used motor oil, antifreeze, weed killers, etc. |
